Ahoy Friends!

My name is Freya — I’m 22 years old, and I grew up on the wild coastline of Pembrokeshire. I first learned to sail at age 12 at Fishguard Yacht Club, and I’ve been hooked ever since. This summer, I’m continuing my extraordinary solo sailing journey around Great Britain and Ireland — raising awareness for mental health, especially among young people navigating their own storms.

This next leg will cover over 1,300 nautical miles along the north and west coasts, stopping in remote harbours, open anchorages, and tight-knit communities. I’ll be hosting talks, sharing my story, and raising money for Mind, a mental health charity that has helped people like me when things got dark.
